Llewellyn`s Irish Balsamic Cider Vinegar
Our Balsamic Cider Vinegar (Balsamic Apple Cider Vinegar if you're from the States or Canada!) is unique in that it is made entirely from apples, whereas the balsamic vinegar which people in general are familiar with is made, of course, from grapes. It is also, uniquely, the only balsamic vinegar produced in Ireland.
What makes this luxurious vinegar so rich, what gives it its dark colour and its sweetness, is the fact that it consists partially of fully fermented vinegar, but also partially of evaporated, condensed apple juice which remains unfermented, thus adding the rich sweetness and flavour to the sharpness in the finished vinegar.
Our Balsamic Cider Vinegar is made entirely from apples, and has NO sulphites, and NO caramel added (check the ingredients on the labels of some other balsamics).
It takes around 6 kilos of fresh apples to eventually finish up as 1 litre of our Balsamic Cider Vinegar. This vinegar is an indulgence, and a little goes a long way. Customers have told me of countless different ways they use it, but mostly in salads, and many have told me how they even enjoy simply sipping it neat from a spoon!
I will have to compile a recipe leaflet with different tips and suggested ways of using it.
Prize-winning Irish Balsamic Vinegar made entirely from apples. Ireland's only Balsamic, amazing flavour on salads, meats, vegetables.
